Reaching the next rung in ladder health & safety June 1st 2007 Businesses using ladders will be in the spotlight
this June and July as the Health & Safety
Executive focuses its attention on ladder safety
The Ladder Exchange 2007
initiative's key message is
"If it is right to use a ladder,
use the right ladder and use it
safely." Many retailers have
pledged their support including
Ladderstore.com, an internet
company selling ladders and
ladder safety tagging systems.
Suitable for those businesses
who cannot always find the time
to get to a local builders
merchant or retailer,
Ladderstore.com is offering
special incentives to check,
replace and maintain ladders as
part of the HSE ladder exchange
activity. A free ladder safety
checklist can be downloaded
from the ladderstore link. A free
sample - worth £4.41 - of its
Ladderlog safety tag and holder
is available on request - plus
there is a 10% discount on all
new ladders purchased.
"We urge industry to get
involved in ladder exchange and
help prevent many of these
injuries which can be avoided by
using the right equipment and
taking precautions," says Ian
Greenwood, HSE Head of Falls
from Height. More articles from Wardworth Ltd T/A Ladderstore.com: |
