Ladder safety December 1st 2004 Boddingtons Electrical claims its ladder stabilizer takes less than 10sec to put in place and could save a life.
The Boddingtons Stopper comes in four sizes and is an aluminium T-piece bonded into an 11mm vulcanised rubber base. A 2mm tread top and bottom provides extra grip even in wet conditions.
The company says the product reduces the risks of falls and improves the performance of a ladder in terms of safety, offering complete stability under normal conditions of use. It is stable at inclinations of 3:1 and above,
even with loose, dry surfaces.
One very satisfied company is BT who, five years ago, supplied each of its engineers with a ladder stabilizer. Research has shown that ladder accidents have been cut by almost 50% and there have been 2000 less sick leave days taken
per year. More articles from Boddingtons Electrical Limited: |
