Gutters: Autumn bread 'n' butter October 1st 2007 Gutter cleaning an often overlooked yet lucrative service becomes more essential
at this time of year. Omnipole's Omni Gutter Cleaning system won the 2006 Croydon
Best of Business new innovative product award
Featured in a HSE 'Safe Working at
Height' film, the Omni Gutter Cleaning
system comprises of three separate
components each available separately or as a
package.
Firstly the 3600 watt vacuum that reaches
and cleans inside gutters, sucks dust and
debris from beams, ceilings and entrance
canopies up to 16 metres high using an
aluminium telescopic suction tube. Equally
useful for exterior or interior maintenance,
the Gutter/Ceiling Vac is available in 110 or
240 volt versions.
Secondly a gutter, cladding and facade
washing system used in conjunction with a
high pressure washer to reach into gutters
and blast clean down pipes and guttering.A
simple 10 second change of fitting the unit is
then used to pressure wash stone, concrete,
cladding and remove graffiti up to 16 metres
high with the operators feet safely on the ground. The system also has
a quick fit gutter spike attachment for breaking up compacted soil and
loosening sapling roots.
Thirdly a video system that monitors and records before and after
footage of the area to be cleaned or surveyed be it a gutter, church
roof or damaged chimney stack.
The footage is then downloaded to a PC and a DVD burned and
presented to the client. Some of Omnipole's customers have reported a
return on investment within days making it a lucrative purchase.
As winter draws nearer many window cleaners crave a hot water
system to speed up cleaning of winter grime, bird droppings etc.At the
same time, it helps to keep their hands warm.
The new diesel powered hot water system makes life e easier for
WFP operators and mobile floor maintenance cleaners.Omnipole
supplies and installs a full range of hot water systems, and can retrofit
its hot water system to most compatible vans or trailers purchased
from other WFP manufacturers.A 20 litre stainless steel internal tank
will keep the water hot whilst driving from job to job and a constant
flow of 120°C at up to 6 litres a minute production.
A return to main storage tank valve is fitted to control the flow when
the hot water unit is being used for cleaning windows, the returning hot
water gives the benefit of keeping the chill off the water in the main
tank and conserving the running cost of the heater which operates
from an independent fuel tank. Red diesel may be used to bring the
operating cost down even further.
