Flush less & save April 1st 2006 With the water shortage in the South East taking its toll, the need to conserve water is greater than ever.
With approximately 10 million urinals flushing about 10 litres of water 36 times each day, this equates to around 3.5 billion litres of water down the drain EVERY DAY!
Aside from the unnecessary waste of water, businesses are also flushing away money. If each urinal flushed 360 litres of water a day, this adds up to over 131,000 litres of water per urinal per annum. On average businesses will pay around £1.25 per 1000 litres, so each urinal will use approx £170 of water each year.
However, Bio-Productions says its Toss Blocks enable flushing frequency to be reduced to just 3 or 4 times each day. Containing a biological action that keeps urinals free flowing and odourless, consumer tests have indicated financial savings of approximately £150 per urinal, per annum and water savings of over 116,000 litres of water per urinal each year.
