Boys toilets can smell good April 1st 2006 PHS Washrooms has installed the PHS Sani-sleeve, a new urinal product designed to tackle the root cause of malodours and blockages, in urinals at a North Yorkshire secondary school.
The Sani-sleeve is inserted into the modified waste trap of the urinal and works by stopping urine from turning into uric salts, eliminating the cause of the smell and blockages. The device uses a patented 'odour lock' design combined with enzymes-producing bacteria which consume the uric salts before they build up.
Richmond School had the persistent and irritating problem of bad odours from the urinals in the boy's toilets.
Angela Bellenger, PHS Washrooms Sales Representative for the Northumberland region explains, " The current systems being used to combat the smell were proving to be unsuccessful and were not being serviced when required.
"We introduced the new PHS Sanisleeve system, demonstrating exactly how it works and the benefits, and they were suitably impressed. After consultation, we installed the PHS Sani-sleeve in 21 urinals at the school."
One month on, Chris Kemp, Finance Manager at Richmond School, is delighted with the results, "The improvement in the smell was immediate. There is now a fresh, lemony fragrance and we can leave the main door to the toilets open without nasty odours creeping into the classroom. The PHS Sani-sleeve has also reduced the amount of time spent cleaning the urinals. " More articles from PHS Washrooms: |
