Essential oils for wellbeing
June 1st 2008

Tea Tree and Ylang-Ylang aromas have been recently added to the Signature Aromas range. The range of natural aromas is used with its air fragrancing systems Vaparoma, Suparoma and Restaroma, and air steriliser unit Purazone.

Natural aromas are thought to improve the ambiance of sensitive atmospheres such as hospital and nursing wards, care homes and even offices.

Tea-Tree, has natural antiseptic and antifungal properties. It has a fresh camphoraceous smell which Aborigines discovered had unique germ-killing powers.

Ylang-ylang also has antiseptic properties and is used to help release tension, anxiety and reduce high blood pressure. It has also been used to fight intestinal infections. The natural oils have been impregnated into separate Signature Aromas biodegradable discs for use in the air treatment systems and the new Purazone unit – which is proven to kill air borne bacteria such as MRSA and C Diff.

Signature Aromas systems are installed in over 200 hospitals and nursing homes. The systems use patented essential oil membranes to release a nontoxic odour neutralising dry vapour into the air which will quickly control and eliminate any smoke, food and biological odours wherever they are used in the hospital. They use COSHH approved essential oils that are pure and natural. Units are standard or stainless steel.
