The lead seminar on the first day is a paper entitled, Corporate Manslaughter/Homicide – The Impact. Delivered by Kevin Bridges of IOSH this seminar discusses The Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act which comes into force in April 2008 with the stated aim of making it easier to convict companies and other large organisations where serious management failures result in death. Convicted organisations could then face fines up to 10% of their annual turnover. The seminar will introduce the Act and the new statutory offence of corporate manslaughter/homicide and its anticipated impact on corporate and personal liability.
