High demand for gum removal
December 1st 2003 Growing demand for fast, easy to use remedies for chewing gum removal has seen a best-ever sales year for Prochem Europes Bazooka. The Bazooka is used with its partner Spot Remover Aerosol to instantly remove ground-in gum, sticky sweets and adhesive from carpet, hard floors and concrete without mess.
The system is suited to transport, stations and depots and the whole job can be carried out while standing (aching backs are out with this technology).
Hayes-based cleaning contractor Crystalkleen took a machine to clean upholstery and floors for bus fleet customers (pictured) and managing director Mark Fraser is delighted with the results: an excellent tool, he says. Marks staff of 28 cleaners work at bus depots at High Wycombe and Aylesbury for Arriva Buses, and at Slough and Bracknell for First group.
Distributor Prochem Scotland recently ordered five Bazookas in one month. Thats not unusual, said a spokesman. Orders of this kind are fairly commonplace. Chewing gum is a growing menace and this unit wins users over with its lightness, speed and comfort of use.
