Efficient dust extraction
October 1st 2007

Carter-Thorne has installed a Polytex L22 dust extraction unit at the Cirencester factory of Corin Medical, manufacturer of othopaedic devices. The L22 handles metal dusts created at four workstations used for polishing components. The Polytex unit is sited internally and takes into account noise levels laid out under the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005. The specification required that the units have Local Exhaust Ventilation Tests under section 9 of the CoSHH Regulations. Polytex units may be sited inside and outside, even in restricted areas.Addition of a top-mounted high efficiency particle arrestor operating with efficiency of 99.997% allows cleaned air to be vented back to the working area.
