Dry floors and extract gas October 1st 2007 Manufacturers of hard floor
maintenance equipment and
vacuum cleaners aren't
necessarily the first people that
come to mind for helping in the
fermentation process of wine.
However wine industry
equipment and supplies
wholesaler,Vinolia, has
discovered a
new use for
Truvox's Air
Movers and
Axial Fans.
These
products,
more
normally
used to dry
carpets or
enclosed spaces after
cleaning or flooding, are now
being used to facilitate the
circulation of air and provide
ventilation at wine making
cooperatives across France.
Vinolia identified that Truvox's
Air Movers and Axial fans double
up from their widely used floor
drying function to form a
solution for the removal of
colourless, odourless and
potentially fatal carbon dioxide
(CO2) generated during the
fermentation process.
Positioning a Truvox Air Mover or
Axial Fan on top of tanks can
help to minimise the hazardous
build-up of CO2 .
Further uses include drying
fermentation tanks and barrels
once the grapes and
fermentation products are
emptied and the ventilation and
drying out of cellars.
The Air Mover has a three
speed control and creates an
airflow of up to 2600m3/h by a
multi blade turbine.The Axial
Fan is a high-performance dryer
with high volume and high
velocity airflow of up to 5100
m3/h. Both machines are
designed to be extremely quiet
in use. Call the number below
for details. More articles from Truvox International Ltd: |
