A cost effective means of keeping motorways and highways clear of snow and ice is

now available in the shape of Broadwood International's new Vee-Maxx SP-9500

Designed for spreading bulk grit, road sand or a grit/sand

mixture for snow and ice control, the mammoth 3200 litre

capacity, bed-mounted spreader can also be mounted on to

the SnowEx twin wheel chassis to create a stand-alone trailed unit.

Comprising of a large hopper measuring

1220mmx1320mmx3050mm manufactured from heavy-duty

polyethylene to eliminate corrosion and provide a light payload, the

SnowEx Vee-Maxx SP-9500 is equipped with a variable speed caboperated

controller with digital readout and pulse feature to clear

jams at the auger.The

hopper is supported

by a heavy-duty

powder-coated steel

frame and includes a

weather-tight

automotive style

wiring loom and

300mm spinner.

Safety features

include automatic

overload protection

with auto-reverse on

start up, hopper

mounted break light

and separate controls for auger and spinner. Being substantially

lighter than comparable steel units, the Vee-Maxx SP-9500 not only

helps health and safety concerns by being easily removed and

installed but also enables higher quantities of ice-melt product to be

transported due to less hopper weight on the vehicle.

The unit can easily spread a range of materials thanks to an

adjustable 'V' interchangeable grit/sand baffle and attached patented

vibrator system, which enables it to handle non-free-flowing material

such as salt/sand mix, bulk salt or moist material.

Designed with the end user in mind, the Broadwood SnowEx Vee-

Maxx SP-9500 has a low-maintenance, direct-drive system that

requires no belts, pulleys or chains. Powered by a heavy-duty direct

drive motor to provide maximum torque transmission, the unit offers

excellent spreading performance yet enables the host vehicle to be

freed up to perform other functions.

The SnowEx Vee-Maxx SP-9500 comes with a heavy-duty fitted

tarpaulin cover and a two-year limited warranty. Supported by
