Anglian says its Polaris wood floor coating proves compliance with future environmental legislation needn't sacrifice quality or economy. See stand 01.233M at Interclean

Polaris now tops the range of premium wood floorcare products available from Anglian, and contains less than 48gm/l volatile organic compound, easily meeting the government's 2010 targets. Incredibly, says Anglican, Polaris achieves this level of environmental care while actually outperforming its less eco-friendly competitors. With a totally urethane composition, it is stronger and more resilient than the acrylic/urethane blends of its predecessors, while also overcoming the traditional problems of the lifting and loosening of wood tannins which can cause ugly stains and dark streaks. As well as outstanding slip-resistance, Polaris offers solid defence against scuffing and black marks and is easily maintained with high-speed buffing equipment - good news for high-impact or highfootfall floors such as sports halls or school corridors.

Aside protection and aesthetic benefits, a premium quality floor system also makes a sensible economic investment for businesses.

Anglian's MD Paul Hendry-Smith explains: "Firstly, it dries fast and requires fewer coats so your floor is out of action for less time during application. Then, the indestructible performance of a Polaris finished floor ensures that the need for re-coating and restorative treatments is dramatically reduced. Over time, the manpower and equipment costs shelled out by less forward-thinking businesses on repairing their cheaper floor coverings will be recouped many times over."

"Project Polaris" is the most recent of many developments at Anglian's on-site manufacturing facility. Warehouse capacity has been doubled, and all manufacturing and distribution processes have now attained the rigorous ISO9001:2000 quality certification.
