Wide ranging ride-ons and walkers

Nilfisk-ALTO says its new SCRUBTEC range of ride-on and walk-behind scrubber dryers are designed to suit a broad range of commercial, industrial and public sector floorcare needs.

The ride-ons feature the iDrive controller, which replaces conventional controls to provide effortless steering, acceleration and braking, says the company.

With no steering column or foot pedals, the fingertip controlled SCRUBTEC R571 and R586 ride-on scrubber-dryers give a clear view of the scrub path.

Easy and quiet operation maximises operator productivity, while front wheel steering and the rear transaxle drive system ensure high traction and manoeuvrability in tight spaces.

Designed for applications with a scrubbing requirement up to 3,440m2/h, the battery powered machines have 110 litre solution and recovery tanks and the onboard charger allows charging anywhere. The R571 scrubs 710mm, with two rotary or cylindrical brushes, while the R586 scrubs 860mm with two rotary brushes.

Six basic models make up the walk-behind range, and several variants offer alternative traction and scrubbing systems. The range provides high productivity machines for scrubbing up to 3,800m2/h as well as more compact machines for smaller scrubbing requirements, up to 1,720m2/h.

The SCRUBTEC 343 is a compact, highly manoeuvrable machine, with 430mm offset brush. There are two battery powered models and one for 230V operation.

The 743 and 751 scrub 430mm and 510mm respectively, while the SCRUBTEC 770, 784 and 795 top the pedestrian range with scrubbing paths of 700, 840 and 950mm. All have 114 litre tanks for maximum operating times.

A parabolic squeegee is standard on most of the machines. The wide drying track ensures a safe, slip-free finish – even on tight turns, according to Nilfisk-ALTO. If a squeegee hits an obstacle, it slides off the machine, preventing damage to machine and obstacle. On some models, the squeegee automatically lifts when the machine reverses.
