Buildings dried faster
December 1st 2006

Broughton's Terry Brennan says new and redesigned additions to its building drying line-up, alongside a new service department, means life just got better for customers

The CR30 dehumidifier now has the 'easy service' configured body for easy cleaning and maintenance, as standard.Very quiet in operation, it has a maximum extraction rate of over 30 litres per day. Broughton claims it is possibly the most compact and versatile 30 litre industrial unit available in the UK and it can be purchased in either single 230v or dual auto switch 110v/230v versions.

Broughton also claims the CR60 is perhaps the lightest 60+ litre unit currently available in the UK, giving extreme versatility in nearly every application. From December 2006 it is supplied with an ergonomically designed frame to allow easy portage with the correct lifting stance (this was originally created for, and with the help of, Broughton's German customers). At the same time the unit has been designed to operate in 50mm (2") of standing water to allow the drying process to start even sooner.

New MD80: This is a 'production' version of a military machine and is, as you would expect, very tough and rugged. It has a maximum extraction capability of 150 litres/24 hours and can be supplied with many, many accessories. It is capable of drying five or six separate remote areas simultaneously, or one very large area. It is extremely useful when rapid drying is required as it is capable of creating a very steep vapour pressure gradient that really accelerates the natural drying process.Due to its pre-set evaporating temperature, this unit will significantly out perform six normal 30 litre units, making it a very cost effective unit, both to purchase and to operate, says Broughton.

The Broughton Powerblo (carpet drier) has been reconfigured to give increased air flow and increased air pressure. These units are particularly useful in removing moisture by using laminar air flow to create negative pressure just above the carpet/wall surface and thus detaching the moisture droplets. This 'wet air' can then, in effect, markedly increase the performance of dehumidifiers and give rise to much faster drying and therefore shorter occupancy. The revised Hydra, a seventeen way adaptor for the Powerblo, has been designed for drying out the interstitial cavities and wiring sockets etc. that are difficult to access easily, again speeding up the complete drying process.

Finally, Broughton's new Service Department has been very well received – and utilised – and will complete anything from a first aid repair to fully reconditioning units with a subsequent warranty. All at reasonable prices.

So, that's it. Integrated drying, heating or ventilating, Broughton says its products are top quality: designed, built and serviced in the UK, at the lowest possible prices.
