"This was undoubtedly our best ever show – we had enquiries from 21 different countries," says Rosemor MD, Efi Rosen.

Much of the interest was for its new escalator and travelator unit the Rotofast 540, which cuts the time needed for a vertical and horizontal cycle from 90 seconds to 25 seconds, and works without an operator – saving energy and labour costs.

While in the UK, Rosen says uptake of its contract hire is booming, he believes China will be Rosemor's biggest customer within five years.

Rosen claims the company doubled its business last year, and aims for similar growth this year. He says much of the growth has come from offering training, not just on using the machines but technical issues too, resulting in higher orders from more satisfied customers.
