cleaning with cleanable machines July 1st 2005 Since its launch at the turn of the year, sales of OspreyDeepclean’s Steam & Vac Pro have been running at more than 50 machines a week, reports a delighted Thomas Stuecken, managing director of the company.
A more robust and powerful version of the long established Steam ‘n’Vac water filtration model from the company’s Housekeeping range, the Pro version offers several additional key features, with perhaps the most beneficial being the sheer cleanability of the machine itself.
This attribute has found much favour in the Healthcare sector where many of the machines are now being placed.
“It is usually overlooked when evaluating cleaning equipment, that often the hardest thing to clean is the machine!” adds Mike Osiadacz, UK sales director.
“Awkward folds in the body casing and impossible to reach gaps make excellent breeding grounds for the worst kinds of bacteria – because it is in the worst places that cleaning equipment is taken: washrooms, toilets, kitchens and cafeterias, operating theatres and Accident & Emergency wards.
Taking a germ-laden piece of cleaning equipment into these environments is like trying to clean with a dirty rag”, he says.
Steam & Vac Pro has a smooth moulded shell that easily wipes clean.
Knobs and buttons are kept to a minimum. The result is a machine with optimum cleanability.
With the vacuum filtered through water to ensure that dust, pollen or allergens are not circulated into the atmosphere, the Steam & Vac Pro in terms of power is positioned between the Housekeeping and Commercial ranges, and with the addition of the optional trolley system, it makes for a mobile and highly versatile steam cleaning operation.
