COUNCIL OPTS TO GO GREEN August 1st 2004 Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council has taken delivery of two street cleansing vehicles from Bradshaw Electric Vehicles as part of its Neighbourhood Care Initiative.
The two vehicles, branded Clean and Green are 900kg capacity battery-powered pickups, with deep cage backs. They have sufficient range to operate an 8h shift and cope with the many gradients in Halifax. The vehicles return to a depot at night for battery charging
