Better design mobile hot water pressure washers
October 1st 2004

Whether a pressure washer is used as a part of the production process, or for premises and equipment cleaning, what matters at the end of the day is high levels of efficiency, comments Stewart Dennett, national sales manager of Alto. Alto is recognised as a leader in the innovation of effective cleaning solutions, however innovations must add value to the product and improve the overall result by saving the customer time and money

The Alto Neptune 5 & 7 Series of Hot Water Pressure Washers achieves this with a range of new features that offer unique benefits to a large number of customer groups. Customers in automotive, agricultural, food and general industry although having the same basic requirement for powerful, cost effective, quick and efficient cleaning all have individual cleaning requirements that can be met by the Neptune Series.

The basic factor in achieving effective hot water pressure washer performance is the correct combination of water pressure, water flow and water temperature. The delivery of the perfect combination of these 3 factors was instrumental in the conception and subsequent development of the Neptune Series incorporating years of experience on the part of Alto and the customer groups they serve.

The diversity of cleaning applications is vast... from the cleaning of production equipment or conveyors to cleaning floors, walls or handling equipment in agricultural, automotive and other industry each of those tasks will benefit from different combinations of the basic elements.

Altos reputation for superior quality was an important development criteria in this new Series, states Stewart Dennett, with this as a starting point, we simply had to ask the customers what they wanted... and deliver! The pump systems used in the Neptune Series are the results of our core competencies in pump design. The mid range Neptune 5 uses a new ceramic piston, 1450 rpm motor plunger pump optimised for the professional user, while the heavy duty Neptune 7 uses the respected Alto C3 axial piston pump often described within the industry as the standard for industrial pump design and durability.

Research has shown that intensive use of a pressure washer can be uncomfortable and lead to fatigue and strain for the user. The ERGO 3000 System, which is standard on the Neptune Series, combats this, as the parts of the pressure washer handled the most the spray gun, lance and couplings have been engineered to reduce fatigue and thus optimise operator efficiency.

New legislation (Low Emission Burner Requirements EN 303-2) has placed some very tight restrictions on boiler performance... and the new EcoPower Boiler in the Neptune Series exceeds those requirements. The bottom line is the burner will reduce fuel consumption by more than 6% when compared to conventional, current technology, and pollution is reduced dramatically, says Stewart Dennett.

Serviceability is vital in a pressure washer and the Neptune Series boasts several QuickService features. The easy clean coil which can be removed and placed on the floor for cleaning in less than 6 minutes by one technician working alone. Water and fuel filters are easy to access and the service door opens in seconds to reach the cylinder head for quick attention to the pump valves and seals. Stewart Dennett comments These features are outstanding as QuickService enables any inpromptu servicing to be carried out quickly and with minimum disruption and cost between regular services.

Every model in the Neptune Series has built-in diagnostics. All have a fuel gauge so the operator knows before he begins, if theres enough to finish the task. The machine will stop if theres not enough oil in the pump to continue safely. Neptune Series machines all have the patented WDK dual-detergent system enabling the selection and dosing control of two detergents plus the valve cleans itself automatically.

To conclude Stewart Dennett states Were very proud of the new Neptune Series...a co-operation between Alto and our customers, and if what you seek is high performance, efficiency, durability and quality at an attractive price you need look no further than this new range of hot water pressure washers.
