Cuts laundry cost by half

A new product called Activ-Aire, from Laundrox promises to halve laundry costs for hospitals, prisons, hotels, sports clubs, nursing homes, schools, laundries and Laundromats.

The technology harnesses a chemical reaction that results in clean laundry that has been washed successfully in cold water with a 70% reduction in the amount of chemicals normally used. As fewer chemicals are required, this leads to a reduction in rinse water and therefore lower water usage that means the user will also save on effluent charges. There is also a reduction in drying time and an increase in linen life.

What is essentially a simple chemical reaction can be applied to make huge cost savings for operators in the industrial cleaning sector as general manager Mike Reynolds of the hotel group Marriott Courtyard has discovered.

The Activ-Aire installation is simple and safe to use and is fully automatic in operation; installation takes under two hours with minimum disruption.
