Killing microbes on contact
February 1st 2010

A PVC wall cladding system containing BioCote silver ion antimicrobial technology is now available for specification when designing food preparation and processing areas. BioClad has been developed by Advanced Hygienic Contracting in partnership with BioCote.

BioClad cladding incorporates silver ions that form a permanently active surface which inhibits the growth bacteria and moulds including Listeria, Campylobacter, E.coli and Salmonella by up to 99.99%.

The natural antimicrobial technology controls bacteria 24/7 for the expected lifetime of the cladding and eliminates the need for aggressive cleaning fluids.

The full specification can be downloaded on NBSPlus.
