Better for stop-start operations December 1st 2004 Oxford City Council has just acquired 16 Citron Berlingo 600 LX 1.4i vans and three Berlingo Multispace Forte 1.4i cars, all independently converted for petrol/liquid petroleum gas (lpg) dual fuel operation. After trying a number of light commercial vehicles, the Berlingos were selected for a variety of purposes including transport for mobile caretakers and gas fitters, most of which involve considerable stop-start operations. In these roles the Berlingos proved to offer advantages such as accessibility and comfort.
Paul Einon Oxford City Councils services manager, city works, comments, The Berlingos both meet the requirements of
our operators and have provided the Council with the advantages of low whole life costs. Now, as part of our alternative fuel strategy, we will be looking at Berlingo Electrique vans for certain other Council applications. More articles from Citroen UK Limited: |
