Search Engine v3.0b

Our search engine is now more powerfull and even more flexible than before, we have taken feedback from our users and rebuilt our search algorithms from the ground-up to ensure you have the control you wanted.

When searching 'The Whole Site' we really do search everything, in fact we've recently re-built this special type of search to deliver you the most accurate results even faster than before, why not give it a go?

In a nutshell you still just type a query into the search box but you can now format your query in one of three ways:

Standard Keyword Search

    window cleaning

This is the usual search mechanism, each of your keywords (and their plurals!) are searched for in our database, if either keyword is found then the entity (i.e. a story, news item or company) is returned.

Modified Keyword Search

    -window +cleaning
    -window +cleaning products
    -window +cleaning +products -water

If you don't want to include plurals in your searches then prepend a '+' (plus) operator in front of the keyword, this also has the affect of ensuring that the keyword will definitly exist in returned records. Prepending a '-' (minus) operator in front of a keyword will ensure that any returned records do not contain the keyword.

Search on exact phrase

    "window cleaning"
"window cleaning product with no water"

The above modifiers are useful when you're looking for articles where the position of words isn't important, if you want to search for an exact phrase however just surround the keywords with double quotes.
